Some of my earliest vacation memories included a trip along the mountain ridges overlooking the Shenendoah River Valley. There are songs written about that valley, and it was easy to see why... lush, green, rolling. Frankly a farmer's paradise of rich fertile soil. It's still there, but sadly being swallowed my industrial development and sprawling distribution centers. Others have captured its beauty and it's a fool's errand to try and match their masterpieces. But, somewhere on the bell shape of fool, this appeared in a vision as I drifted off to sleep one night. Earlier that day, someone commented on a previous work saying, 'very directional'. Indeed, I envisioned plows, and deep furrows and hills steeply jutting into the sky. I awoke, had some coffee [or 2, usually drinking 10 to 20 cups per day], and brought it down a peg in scale. Still, I feel the mists rising from the fields and the richness of the earth yielding its bounty. And indeed, while most of the valley's farmers reside in better abodes, I just got caught in this home across the bridge, in the valley. Still under some final tweaking, but almost done [well, then there is the frame]
