Massillon
Massillon: Inspired by channeling my mother’s memories of growing up in Ohio, the Christmas wool stockings stuffed with oranges, apples, nuts and pears hung by the fireplace. The smell of fresh baked gingerbread ornaments hung on the tree & the sound of a trolly heading up Lincoln Way East in a wild winter wind, and where the steel mills in town could turn a wedding white snowfall blacker than a widow’s bonnet before dawn... of course before the EPA and deindustrialization came to town. Simpler times, much like the classic movie 'A Wonderful Life', with football, sock-hops and ice-cream parlors the focus of a teenager's life... a veneer of civility hovering over the grit of factory work in a world about to change forever, as Prohibition, the Depression and WWII were but blips on the horizon.
