Norwegian Wood

Norwegian Wood: One could be excused believing those are Canadian wildfires off in the distance, but they aren't known for Stave churches... then there is the Beatle's song about nice Norwegian Wood. All that aside, Swedish born, this is a nod to my childhood neighbors as they work to preserve these structures from our Scandinavian Viking past. The knock on the noggin came upon finding a Villeroy & Boch Christmas display tucked away in the attic - little people and Stave churches. Very festive, hence the painting came to life. Sadly, if I don't bury those ceramics in the back yard, I see an estate sale table ware in their future, pennies on the dollar.
